MarketingVOX: Google has released a new AdSense unit for YouTube videos, which allow publishers to make money on videos they put on their sites, reports TechCrunch.
The nouveau format allows publishers to choose categories of the types of ads that will appear on videos they embed, or they can have Google target the site based on content.
Publishers who place ad-laden videos on their sites earn money on a pay-per-click basis.
Players can also be customized customize to match the look and feel of a given site. At this point it seems only some AdSense publishers have access to the new format, and it has to be activated for them to take advantage of it.
