You might remember that I participated in Movember last year -- the annual event to raise awareness around prostate cancer and to raise money for research into the "most common non-skin cancer".
This year, I want to go a step further. I have setup a team ... and I would like you to either sponsor me or JOIN. To make this easier for those based in the USA, I have setup a team with the US organisation which means that any donations made are tax deductible in the US.
I am particularly keen to see the MarketingProfs contributors with a MO, along with ... David Armano, Mack Collier, David Reich, Peter Kim, Cam Beck, Drew McLellan, Clay Parker Jones, Greg Verdino, Kevin Dugan, Lewis Green, Mark Goren, Matt Dickman, Mike Sansone (ok you have a headstart), Sean Howard and Paul McEnany. Anyone else you want to see with a mo? Let me know and I will add them to the list.
To sponsor me:
- Visit the Movember website
- Choose to donate or to sponsor
- Enter my registration number : 158914
- Begin to FEEL GOOD about doing good
To JOIN the team:
- Visit the Movember website
- Choose the Join a Team option
- Use the Captain's registration number 158914
- And my email address: servant [at] servantofchaos [dot] com
- Begin to FEEL GOOD about participating

Way to go, Gavin! Having previously worked for a nonprofit focused on breast cancer, I applaud your efforts to raise awareness (and funds) for prostate cancer research.
The American Cancer Society estimates that during 2007 about 218,890 new cases of prostate cancer will be diagnosed in the United States. About 1 man in 6 will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during his lifetime. That's a good reason for others to jump on your bandwagon.
Good luck!

Gavin,
You got to love the Mo. Can't wait to see a few progress picture from you. What type are you growing?
Personally, I'm trying the biker look. It looks pretty nasty at the moment.

SiMo ... it is the goatee ... but Movember is always long. Could be a couple of styles by the end!
