MarketingVOX: Web CMS Clickability, and online content and applications provider Akamai, today announced a strategic liaison.

StarTribune.com, the website for Minnesota's largest newspaper publisher, will serve as a major collaborating point. The firm is part of Clickability's corporate publishers client base which, in conjunction with Clickability's cmPublish SaaS platform, will proffer Akamai's Dynamic Site Accelerator to improve online print-based offerings.

StarTribune.com reportedly deployed the joint solution recently, delivering over 50 million page views per month. Philly.com will also be getting the joint performance treatment.

Participating print-oriented websites will be able to deliver entertainment, sports, and local news content, in addition to social media offerings like blogs and user-generated content.

"Akamai's Dynamic Site Accelerator brings a user experience that is unrivaled, helping improve site stickiness, reduce site abandonment and eventually drive more ad revenue and impressions to a site," explained VP of marketing Brad Rinklin of Akamai.

The integrated publishing solution is now available to interested parties.
