MediaBuyerPlanner: Beginning next weekend, the New York Post will include a Page Six Magazine inserted into the Sunday edition. In addition to its usual fare of gossip on celebrities and society, the magazine will include content on fashion, food, wine and restaurants, writes MediaPost.
The magazine will be edited by Margi Conklin, formerly editor of Harper's Bazaar and New Woman. Calvin Klein, Mercedes-Benz and BMW are among the advertisers in the premiere issue.
The Wall Street Journal announced yesterday that it will launch a weekly glossy magazine next September. Both papers are hoping to increase reader engagement and attract new advertisers.
