Digital View Streamlines Secondary Signage Implementation

stumbleupon digg del.icio.us

MarketingVOX: Digital View has just developed a method by which retailers can add secondary messaging to digital signage at a lower cost than standard, according to a recent press release.

The offering is a media player that outputs the name of a file being played as a text string. By this method, users can link messages and trigger signage "cascades."

Existing products, such as Digital View's Viewstream-200 and board-level M3-200 media players, were further enhanced to permit the name of a file being played to be output via RS-232 as a text string, then shown on a character display. It also enables designated characters in the file name to trigger related messages, rendering secondary signage use less costly to implement.
