MarketingVOX: Brightcove competitor PermissionTV has raised $9 million in a third round of financing, reports ClickZ. The funding will pay for additional sales staff and an upgrade to its technology platform.
PermissionTV provides branded Web video channels. It has 30-plus customers that include Adobe, Fox�s myNetworkTV, Toyota Scion, Mitt Romney, and FHM Magazine. The company builds customers' sites from scratch instead of using design templates.
