stumbleupon digg del.icio.us

MediaBuyerPlanner: People who listen to public radio are 59 percent more likely than the average to be "affluent empty nesters," according to a recently released Radio Format Report from the Media Audit (via Radio Ink).

The format is the second highest-reaching, behind News/Talk. It is the most-listened-to format among adults with an advanced degree, and just over one fifth of those listeners are considered "affluent empty nesters."

Public radio listeners are also more likely (by 73 percent) to be active stock traders, frequent foreign air travelers (by 81 percent) and heavy domestic air travelers (85 percent).
