MediaBuyerPlanner: The enormous silhouette of a pole dancer is painted on a field just below the flight path of airplanes landing at Gatwick Airport, and the Tandridge District Council is demanding its removal.
If it is not removed, the council has said it will take legal action, writes the AP (via CNN).
The 100,000 square-foot ad is for a website called MyPrivateDance.com. It is nearly invisible from the ground but is more than prominent to airline passengers. The company that placed the ad, Sports Media Gaming Ltd., says the council has no grounds for removing it and has no plans to do so.
A photo of the ad can be seen here.
