MarketingVOX: Launched two weeks ago, Internet sensation Justin.TV is expanding its online reality TV show into a full-fledge network, giving users the ability to create their own shows and personal URLs at http://justin.tv/name, reports TechCrunch.
Justin's new network is expected to compete with Ustream.tv, which also gives users the tools to create their own live shows, a process called "lifecasting."
The community will have the same features that grace Justin's page: a chat room, calendar, clip voting system and Twitter module to update the page via mobile phone like Justin does.
Justin.tv also features an updated player that includes built-in user-generated advertising. A film reel in the lower right-hand corner takes users to quirky ads made by Justin Kan.
Finally, the site will employ a "Reddit-like" voting system called Tips. The power of one's vote is impacted user karma - votes depend on how successful previous videos were that one tipped, and how long the shows were watched.
