MarketingVOX: CBS News and Brightcove have signed a deal in which the latter has committed to distribute CBS News content to its partner sites, reports MediaWeek.
The CBS News clips will run through the Brightcove Syndicated Marketplace for distribution to thousands of partnered sites. Brightcove.com will also host the ad-supported content.
The deal will both help CBS disseminate its own content and give it an additional revenue source.is not only seen by CBS as spreading its content around the web but as an additional revenue source.
Brightcove will include original clips and programming from CBS News shows like The Early Show and CBS Evening News.
