MediaBuyerPlanner: Kimberly-Clark posted its 10th consecutive quarter of double-digit gains in the first quarter, with profits up 64 percent and revenue up 8 percent, writes MediaPost.
Earlier this month, the company brought on three new global marketing executives to help it compete more successfully against Proctor & Gamble and other competitors, and with competition in mind, will boost marketing spend $200 million by 2009.
Kimberly-Clark plans to devote 25 percent of its marketing budget to nontraditional media, compared with 10 percent in 2004.
