MediaBuyerPlanner: Clear Channel Radio has created an advertising campaign for Consolidated Media that it is offering to Clear Channel stations across the country.
Consolidated Media is a Las Vegas-based vacation resorts operator. The campaign consists of entertainment spots featuring celebrity interviews with DJs, which then segue into opportunities for listeners to win vacations at a Consolidated Media property.
The two-minute spots are currently running in radio markets on the West Coast, but will now be expanded to run across the country. Consolidated Media is expecting an increase in call volume to 600 calls per spot, according to Clear Channel.
Consolidated Media went to Clear Channel Radio with a $1,500 advertising budget. The success of the spots has helped the company to grow its budget to tens of millions of dollars, says Michael Kaplan, chairman of Consolidated Media.
"Clear Channel Radio is committed to offering advertisers all types of effective advertising solutions, from very short spots to long-form ads. We're not locked into any one solution," said Greg Ashlock, regional vp for Clear Channel Radio.
