MediaBuyerPlanner: The FTC has charged a Florida business and its owner, who marketed "height-enhancing" pills for children and young adults, with making false and unsubstantiated claims. The defendants are ordered to pay $375,000 in consumer redress.

The defendant, Sunny Health Nutrition Technology & Products Inc. and its owner, Sunny Sia, marketed a product called HeightMax, which, according to the complaint, claimed that the product would cause users to grow an additional two to three inches in six months, writes DM News. That, and other claims, are unsubstantiated or false, according to the FTC.

The FTC complaint also claims the company offered unsubstantiated claims on two other supplements, Liposan Ultra Chitosan Fat Blocker and Osteo-Vite.
