MarketingVOX: The New York Times Company on Wednesday announced the launch of two real estate websites: The Great Homes site features luxury and second-home listings, web-exclusive content with original articles, destination and lifestyle guides, videos, slide shows and interactive maps; the Home Finance Center site helps users navigate the mortgage process with web tools and exclusive content.
Great Homes offers a searchable database of more than 30,000 real estate listings for Manhattan, Napa, the Hamptons, Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard, Miami and Florida's Gulf Coast, as well as select locations in Europe.
The site will focus on the lifestyle unique to each area, including dining, shopping and nearby amenities such as golf courses and beaches. The site also includes Times articles on the area's history, architecture and overall real estate trends.
The Home Finance Center site features mortgage calculators; mortgage and home equity charts powered by Bankrate.com, an aggregator of financial rate information; the Mortgage Finder, a feature powered by FormServer (a product of ROOT Markets) that allows visitors to apply online for quotes and information from lenders; and a toll-free calling service, powered by LeadPoint, which gives visitors the option to speak directly with a lending professional.
The sites were developed in partnership with other Times Company properties, including the Boston Globe, International Herald Tribune, Ledger (Lakeland, Fla.), Sarasota Herald-Tribune and Press Democrat (Santa Rosa, Calif.).
