MarketingVOX: News Corp.'s MySpace is the top video site according to a new video report product that comScore has begun offering.
Beating out Yahoo, YouTube, Google - and every other player - MySpace accounted for some 20 percent of the 7.2 billion video streams viewed via the web in July, writes Bambi Francisco in MarketWatch. Some 37.4 million unique visitors watched a video on MySpace in July - and they collectively watched 1.4 billion videos.
Yahoo visitors watched 812 million video streams, making Yahoo the No. 2 video site - but Yahoo squeaked by MySpace to rank as the No. 1 video site in terms of "unique streamers."
YouTube was third with 649 million video streams in July. Time Warner was fourth with 258 million streams. ROO Group generated 186 million video streams. Microsoft was sixth with 156 million videos streamed.
Six of ten internet users have watched online videos according to comScore. On MySpace, members on average watch 39 videos a month.
