MediaBuyerPlanner: Clear Channel Outdoor, Inc. today announced that it has been awarded the franchise for advertising in and on buses by the City of Phoenix. Under the contract, Clear Channel Outdoor will market and sell interior and exterior advertising space on 482 buses covering more than 512 square miles and a population of 1.4 million.
Transit advertising has become more valuable in recent years and continues to grow as public transit ridership increases and transit agencies invite creativity and innovation to market advertising space.
John Jacobs, President of Clear Channel Outdoor's Arizona Division said, "The Phoenix bus franchise covers an area that not only includes Phoenix but also reaches into Scottsdale, Tempe, Paradise Valley, Mesa, Glendale and the ever growing West Valley." He points out that Phoenix is one of the top growth markets in the country.
Products in Phoenix will include Full Wraps, King Kong Displays, Full Wrapped Backs, Kings, Queens, Tails and Headlight Displays.
Phoenix, the fifth largest city in the country, is now a $50 billion marketplace driven by technology.
