MediaBuyerPlanner: Fox Filmed Entertainment plans to consolidate global media chores for its estimated $1.1 billion theatrical and home entertainment enterprises account, about $750 million of which is spent in the U.S.
The review is being handled by search consultancy Select Resources International, which has handled searches for H&R Block, Hyundai and Wal-Mart, among others. SRI called the review a "strategic move" to bring media chores under a single umbrella by year's end, writes Adweek.
WPP Group's MindShare, which will participate in the review, works on Fox's national and Canadian cable, local TV and radio buying, while Omnicom Group's Organic handles domestic internet media assignments. It was not clear whether Organic would participate.
The review does not include chores handled by Allied, Fox's national newspaper agency, according to the article.
