IAB's Stuart: Cookie-Rejection Data 'Not Correct at All'

stumbleupon digg del.icio.us

MarketingVOX: In response to a MarketingVOX query regarding the veracity of Internet Bureau of Advertising cookie-rejection figures cited in a recent MediaPost article (which MarketingVOX also ran), IAB CEO Greg Stuart said the "numbers...used were not correct at all."

In its story, MediaPost wrote that IAB-sponsored research had found that 12 percent of users reject third-party cookies, and that Stuart had "declined to comment" on the matter.

In an email to MarketingVOX publisher Tig Tillinghast, IAB's Stuart said the numbers cited were wrong but did not otherwise provide information on IAB's cookie-rejection findings.
