(MediaBuyerPlanner) Beginning this June, Rail-Ads will offer marketers large and small the economical opportunity to reach commuters on Metro-North Railroad line trains out of Grand Central Terminal in New York, writes DM News.
Local retailers and mortgage companies have been the first to jump on board with Rail-Ads' different approach to train ads - which lowers advertisers' costs by dividing up its posters to fit several ads at once.
The partial-poster ad rates vary by size and frequency. Marketers can purchase ads ranging from single 5-by-4 inches, double 10 by 4 or 5 by 8 and quad 10 by 8 ads on a weekly or monthly basis for one to six months. Rail-Ads said the typical passengers are 60 percent male between 33-58 years old earning a household income between $75,000 and $135,000.
By the end of the year, Rail-Ads plans to introduce its program to the New York City subway system and the Long Island Railroad.
