(MediaBuyerPlanner) Comcast's ad-supported video-on-demand lineup now offers several buzzworthy NBC Universal properties, writes Mediaweek. The programs include Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Las Vegas, Conviction, The Office, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, and Passions.
Under the agreement, the companies will only make the broadcast programming available in Comcast markets that NBC owned-and-operated stations serve - including New York, Miami, Philadelphia, Chicago, San Francisco and Washington, D.C.
Beginning in May, Comcast digital subscribers can purchase the NBC content for 99 cents per prime time episode, and get the late night and cable network fare free of charge.
Last November, CBS became the first broadcast television network to sign with Comcast to offer its highest rated, prime time programming through VOD.
